A new batch of songs, recorded live with 2 microphones, a guitar, and me. These songs are rough sketches of what will hopefully become a new album, or maybe not...
A note about the content here:
I tend to be hesitant when it comes to overtly politicized or dogmatic music- personally, I believe that music is a powerful tool for healing and unifying, and in that sense, musicians shouldn’t make enemies with their audience. Plus, you can do a lot with understatement...hell, I would argue that some of the most profound spiritual songs are ones that don’t call up any particular deity directly by name.
At the same time, art is many things, one of which is certainly an outlet for expressing strong emotions. With that in mind, my primary goal when making these songs was to create an outlet for the pent-up feelings of hopelessness and frustration that has permeated my life in the past year. But I also hope these songs can entertain, inspire, and possibly incense...no matter what emotional response it emits in you, I appreciate you listening!
